Just because you didn't buy the temporary membership doesn't mean you can't have a great time at the lake. We've curated several lakes all close drives that you can have a great time at. Many have hiking around them too so you can make it a full day adventure.
Checkout Gouldboro State Park which is only 20 minutes away. There's hiking, swimming and kayak/stand up paddle boarding available for rental. A truly great public beach.
Another great option for public swimming, kayaking and short walks. Electric boat rentals available on-site. Only 40 minutes away.
Beltzville State Park which is about 40 minutes away. There's hiking, swimming and the beach is very kid friendly with a gradual shallow entry. Boat and kayak rentals available throughout the season West of the beach. A truly great public beach.
The closest option for public beach access. Includes kayak and electric boating rentals all season long. Only 13 minutes away.
A mecca of all public state parks. They have a great beach for swimming, excellent trails for hiking with waterfalls and is super close only about 20 minutes away.
