As there are times when no one is in our home we have installed a Smart Water system that monitors usage and patterns and can automatically shut our entire water system down. It detects unusual activity including: fast water flow, high water usage, extended water use, unusual flow rate, unusual activity at time of day, unusual event duration, change in water pressure and more. If the unusual activity is not resolved, the system will shut down and alert us. 

Should this happen while you're staying at the home, we will contact you directly to confirm and troubleshoot. Thanks for your understanding as we protect our investment and the safety of our guests.

For the highest quality water for drinking and bathing we've installed a water treatment plant. You may notice it in our laundry room. In the middle of the week, in the middle of the night, it will go through a "flushing" of itself that, if you're in the laundry room, would be loud. No need to panic, as it's part of normal operation.  

We also have a Brita in the fridge in case you wish to have a steady flow of cold water available.
